Internship (pupil)

There are two types of work experience during school: industrial placement and school internship.

Pupils from grades 9, 10, and 11 have the opportunity to carry out a two to three week industrial placement in the commercial or technical arena.

Alternatively, during the school holidays or when they finish their A-levels (school-leaving exams), pupils can take the opportunity to get a taste of working life within the framework of a school internship.

A school internship or an industrial placement are particularly suited to:

  • complete a period of work experience during grades 9, 10 or 11
  • bridge the gap before commencing further education (vocational training or combined study programme)
  • use the time whilst waiting for a place at university
  • keep occupied during the summer holidays
